2011 Workshop with Dr Kevin Cameron
On the weekend of Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th Feb 2011, the Broken Hill orchestra hosted a workshop with acclaimed conductor and musical educator, Dr Kevin Cameron. The workshop was made possible by a grant from the Australian Government Regional Arts Fund. Read more ...

In April 2010, the Broken Hill Civic Orchestra officially adopted a new logo, which is shown here on the right.
Our old logo is pictured on the left.
The new logo was designed by local graphic artist, Simon Bennett.

Facing the Music (Conducting Workshop)

Vale Patsy Larnach
Patsy Larnach, a flautist with the Broken Hill orchestra for many years, died in 2008
after a battle with breast cancer.
As well as playing the flute,
Patsy also held various committee positions over the years, including her role as secretary for 2008.
Patsy is sadly missed by both her fellow musicians in the orchestra and by the wider community.
2008 Performance at Albert Hall in Tibooburra
In June 2008 the orchestra performed an "Orchestra in the Outback" concert at Albert Hall in Tibooburra. The orchestra included members of the Broken Hill Civic Orchestra together with several musicians from Mungindi, and others from as far afield as Sydney, Canberra, Singleton, Gilgandra and Newcastle. 2007 Albert Hall Concert
Royal Albert Hall in London is famous around the world. Well, Tibooburra with a population of 150 people in Far West NSW (Australia) has its own Albert Hall, which was the venue for a BHCO concert in 2007. Read more ...
